Sales Funnel Basics

A sales funnel is the path a visitor follows from initial interest to a meaningful action such as joining an email list, booking a call or buying a product.

The entry point

The first page should match what brought the visitor there. Search traffic looking for education needs a different introduction from a visitor who is already comparing products.

The conversion

Choose one primary action for the page. That action gives the funnel a measurable purpose and tells you what the next step should be.

The follow up

The journey continues after the form or checkout. Email, delivery and customer communication are part of the funnel experience too.

Keep the first version small

A small complete funnel teaches you more than a large unfinished one. Continue with how to build a simple funnel.
